3 Things I Learned In 3 Months

Since January, I’ve been kind of MIA. Between developing my business venture and developing my wedding plans (all with another full time job and WITHOUT going completely crazy), I’ve let my updates on the blog fall to the wayside. BUT!!!! Here I have the Top 3 hacks for not losing your mind, when your schedule barely gives you time to breathe.

1. Keep your priorities in order. For me, I’ve been slowly starting TheEdit Consulting, while I face the final 30 days of wedding planning. I’ve laid the groundwork so that I can pick up right where I left off the second I get home from the honeymoon. I’ve taken a few meetings lately, but wedding planning and being a good partner have been my number one focus.

2. One of your top priorities SHOULD be self-care. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Whether you journal, workout, cook, or dedicate yourself a skin routine (hopefully all of these a little), make sure you find time for yourself to restore and recharge yourself. A big part of self care is building boundaries. Understand the limits of what you can realistically get done in one day, and honor that.

3. Ask for help. It’s tough to do, I know. In this time of feeling likeI’m building out all my dreams and everything is changing at once, I’ve had to learn how to ask for help. Make it a team effort. Ask for mentorship, opinions, and advice from trusted members of your inner circle.

One thing I’m SO excited for is the next chapter, but I have to pinch myself every once in a while and remind myself to enjoy this new beginning season. There’s a lot going on, and I feel SO excited to already have met some amazing new girls to coach. I feel excited to be so close to a husband and a new last name— entering into a new chapter of my life, personally and professionally. You better believe I'm sharing EVERY detail of the past few months on the Podcast for Season 2 in April (co-hosting with a husband, y'all, like what???)

. Talk to you soon! (Now where did I put that To-Do List??)
